The Palmarium is located on the West flank of Hualalai Volcano at 1000' elevation in a zone of about 40" of rain annually. At 19 degrees North Latitiude, this subtropical setting provides ideal growing conditions for the majority of the approximately 2500 species of palms occurring worldwide.
